“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace,

who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ,

will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

~ 1 Peter 5:10-11

These verses in 1 Peter were a promised hope to my husband when he first became a Christian over 10 years ago. I was looking just now through one of his old journals and he referenced these verses in how he prayed for the Lord would be faithful through the early stages of his santification . Oh how he was fighting hard against sin with the strength of the Lord provided! And now it encourages my heart to see the Lord answered these prayers to my sweet husband, as he is in Glory with His Savior right now!

Fully restored.  Fully confirmed.  Fully strengthen.  Fully established.  By The God of all grace!

Indeed, this encourages my hope in Jesus.   I pray these verses over my family and myself as we wait upon the Lord to provide through these darker days as we grieve & miss our dear Mark.   God truly is the God of all grace!  His grace is that amazing!  May the Lord answer these prayers soon for me/us!

To God be the glory!

Hello friends & family,

We wanted to tell you thank you for your kind words and encouragement and prayers! We met with our doctor yesterday (Wed) and have a scheduled MRI set for this coming Friday, Feb.21st. However we won’t know any results until Monday, Feb.24th when we meet with our doctor.

It seems that there are trials out there and we are on the hunt to see who would accept Mark at this time. My sister in law, Rebecca, has been making tons of calls and our doctor as well has been looking into what would be available for Mark. At this point we do not know exactly what is going on with Mark’s tumors. We will be able to make a decision after we see the MRI early next week. The likelihood that his tumors have grown is strong. Yet, the doctor wants to rule out any other options that maybe occurring, like scar tissues causing the problem and not tumor growth. If that’s the case then we would be going at the treatment in a different direction. We are hopeful we will have more clarity early next week with what to do next! We trust the Lord will continue to guide us and lead us, as He has been faithful to do so!

Please be in prayer that our wise God would show us which direction to go and clearly open a door that would be used to help Mark in shrinking his tumors. We trust that God truly is here with us and is able to do far more then we can think or imagine! Pray that the Lord would do the impossible for His great glory!

Mark got put back on steroids, which is a bummer, but hopeful it will decrease his head aches! Mark is such a gift from the Lord. His ability to keep putting one foot in front of the other” (quote from our Pastor Ryan Fullerton from one of his sermons) is such a blessing, by God’s grace! This potential bad news has not stopped him from plunging forward in loving me and our precious children. Even as I type this he is playing outside in our backyard with the kids! His desire to fight and not give up is from the Lord! He keeps reminding me of the manna that God has promised to give each day. The Lord’s mercies are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness (Lam.3)!

Lord willing, I will continue to update this blog, thankful for the big support we have received! Keep letting more hear of our story, that the Lord may be seen clearly in the midst of our suffering! For we have a strong desire to give God glory to all through this cancer journey; entrusting our souls to our faithful God who holds all things and works everything together for the good of those who love and are called according to His purposes!  May many run to Jesus for salvation!

Grace & Peace in our King Jesus!  These verses strengthen me yesterday in the truth that Jesus is praying that my faith won’t fail!  To God be the glory!

“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,
but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.
And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”  ~Luke 22:31-32
